Mapple Dyne Test Pens Imported 54 Dyne/CM
What is a Dyne Pen?
A Dyne pen is a simple yet powerful tool designed to measure the surface tension of materials, especially in industries like printing and coating. It contains a specific ink that behaves differently based on the surface tension of the material it’s applied to.
Why is a Dyne Pen Useful?
Dyne pens are incredibly useful because they provide a quick and easy way to assess the surface properties of materials. By determining surface tension, Dyne pens help ensure proper adhesion in processes like printing, coating, and laminating, ultimately leading to better quality products.
In a dyne test, a series of liquids with varying wetting tensions are applied to a film surface to assess its printability, coating adhesion, and heat sealability. The process involves spreading these liquids over the film until one is identified that effectively wets the surface, indicating the film’s readiness for further processing.
Using Dyne pens is easy! Just follow these steps:
Prepare Your Workspace: Make sure your workspace is Virgin. You will test on virgin surface.
Choose the Right Dyne Pen: Pick the Dyne pen with the level closest to what you need.
Get the Pen Ready: Press the tip against a clean surface and pump it a few times to get the ink flowing smoothly.
Apply the Ink: Draw a thin line of ink on the surface you’re testing.
Watch the Ink: See if the ink spreads out smoothly or forms droplets.
Note the Result: Write down the surface tension level you find.
Clean Up: Wipe off any leftover ink from the surface and the pen tip.
Store the Pen: Put the cap back on and store the pen in a cool, dry place.
That’s it! Now you can easily use Dyne pens to measure surface tension and make sure your products are top quality.
